We decorated 60 bags!

About our project: As the District Environmental Coordinator for the WV Department of Environmental Protection, I contacted the store to get the bags donated. I visited three Head Start classrooms to teach about Earth Day and had each student decorate a bag. I dropped the bags off to the store in time to distribute during Earth Week. The children had a wonderful time and the store manager can not wait to support this project again next year!

We decorated 100 bags!

About our project: We purchased 100 grocery bags from Aldi and the girls decorated them with Earth Saving messages and pictures. We used stickers, markers and crayons! We then donated the bags back to Aldi so that they will give each customer a "Earth Day Bag" on Earth Day (customers at Aldi must purchase bags or bring their own. This counted also as a service project & fun project for our troop). The girls are hoping that customers will reuse the bags a few more times to help "save the earth"

We decorated 175 bags!

About our project: We worked in conjunction with the school betterment committee to provide the children with the bags, and had them ready the day before Earth Day to be delivered to the store to be used for customers. The kids had a great time! This store, Krogers, is always happy to help with this kind of project for the school children. We were very pleased with the result. We also supplied the children with the coloring books provided through this site. They were to get them today to help educate about creating a GREEN WORLD. Thank you for this opportunity.
