We decorated 268 bags!

About our project: Teachers taught lessons that covered curriculum expectations for media literacy and visual arts. We had a contest for the best decorated bags. We decorated 473 bags!

About our project: Once again the students of St. Alexander Catholic School participated in the Earth Day Grocery Bag activity. We decorated 473 Earth Day Bags with many Earth Day messages and drawings. Our students, from JK-gr. 8 are very creative with their artwork and messages. Our sponsoring store is Sobey's. Sobeys looks forward to doing this activity with our school and the community enjoys receiving their Earth Day bag with their groceries on Earth Day. Through Earth Day Grocery bags we are able to get the message across to the community that Earth Day is not only on April 22nd but it is Everyday and that we need to take care of our Earth now.
